Foundation Classes for Beginners


Suitable for beginners as well as those with some yoga experience - focusing on building the foundations of a safe enjoyable practice of yoga.

We focus first on a gentle practice of asana (postures), which can easily be modified to all shapes and sizes and to all levels of fitness and flexibility. 

As the weeks go by students gradually increase flexibility and strength in the joints and main muscle groups, enabling them to explore a more challenging practice, as they feel ready*. 


Introduction to yogic breathing practices (pranayama) promotes correct breathing and movement of energy in the body.

A few minutes is spent in deep relaxation and meditation at the end of each class.




*A regular home practice is necessary to achieve the maximum benefits of yoga.
